The rest were more home bodies and didn't enjoy being away from mom. It didn't bother me one bit to spend a week or even sometimes a month with Grandma and Pa in the summer. Now that we're older, we get to enjoy this time together. Now that we can drive, we can make special trips without our parents. Not that we don't love them and have a blast when we're all together, but there's something special about all of the cousins making a special trip to see Grandma and Pa.
Anytime we're there, no matter who is there, there is plenty of entertainment despite the fact there is no internet and just acres of land to play on. You should see 11 of us squeezing into a 3 bedroom house with only 1.5 bathrooms. There were only 6 of us this weekend so we got to spread out a little more.
No worries...there was still plenty of entertainment and family time!
A trip to Wal-Mart is always a must...it's pretty much the only place to shop there. Andy always finds some kind of trouble to get into.
This little guy stood outside of the kitchen window to greet us every morning. The time change didn't mess him up, we was ready to go at 5:15 the next morning!
Once everyone has gotten a hot shower showered in the one shower in the house, we head off to church.
Every once in a while someone in the group will make Grandma and Pa especially proud and join the choir.
Then, there's always a photo shoot in the front yard. This one went much faster since Dad wasn't there to take 100 million pictures.
But, there was time for a candid shot of Andy knocking us all over...apparently he has a hard time getting lined up for a picture.
We had a blast with the 5 of us plus a few extra!
