Who Do We Appreciate?

This week was teacher appreciation week. You may remember from last year that I got some pretty sweet gifts. This year did not fail to impress. My week started off with a day off, which was wonderful! We had little goodies in our boxes each day from administration with corny sayings that made me laugh a little everyday.

Monday we had smarties and dum dums with a sticker that said, "Thanks for making smarties out of our students." I really wish it had said, "Thanks for making smarties out of our dum dums." But, we of course do not have any dum dums!

Tuesday we had a bottle of water that said, "Thanks for quenching our thirst for knowledge." And, a bag of popcorn that said, "You're popular!"

Wednesday we had fruit snacks that said. "You're berry special."

Thursday we had a bag of chocolate that said, "You're the best BAR NONE!"

Thursday the PTO provided lunch for the teachers and it was delicious! We had this chocolate cake that didn't look all that great, but it was some of the best cake I have ever had! mmmm...so good!

One of our students also got us an edible arrangement on Thursday. I didn't realize edible arrangements were so popular for teacher appreciation, but I'm not complaining. They are great! We didn't have any chocolate covered fruit this year, but I brought mine home and melted some chocolate for a little afternoon snack.

Friday another student provided lunch for us. Another boy brought me flowers and a starbucks gift card. Two girls brought me lots of chocolate (my favorite!) One of them was a mason jar full of M&Ms! Yes!

Overall it was a great week. What made it even better was the fact that we are done (except for one more day) with EOG review! The review time this year was long and painful and I was so glad to see it end.
