Monster Magic Cookie Bars
I like to make new desserts when I'm going to be sharing with more than just me and Stephen. I learned this week, the holidays are not the time to try new things...there are already so many other tasty treats, that the new stuff doesn't get eaten.
These Magic Cookie Bars were super easy to make. I added peanut butter chips to the top to get some peanut butter flavor in them and they were tasty. They are better when they are fresh out of the oven. Again, not many got eaten, but I think any other time other than after a huge meal like Thanksgiving, they would have been eaten up. I also tried to take them out of the pan and repackage them prettier. That was a major fail so they didn't look as appetizing as this picture once I did that, which didn't help them get eaten either.
I'll definitely try these again and just leave them in the pan this time and not make them for dessert after a major meal.
I'd rate these a 9 put of 10.

Forgotten Kisses
You would think I had learned after this post not to try my hand at chocolate chip cookies again. These looked cool and when I asked Stephen to look at my Pinterest dessert board and pick some for me to make for the holidays, this was the first thing he picked out. They were really easy to make, but they did not taste good. The dough tasted really "flourie." If you didn't get a bite of the kiss in the middle, it was horrible. They were decent when they came out of the oven, but once they cooled they were not edible. Again, making a dessert for a big holiday meal didn't help them get eaten either. Pumpkin pie was much more appetizing! I think maybe 6 of the 24 got eaten. I threw the rest away. I think the fact that this was a no-egg batter was part of the reason they were so bad and tasted so much like flour. I am really going to stick with this recipe and store bought dough from now on...really! I am.
I give these a 0 out of 10.
