Frosty Relay

You may remember this fun relay I did last year to review for our end of semester assessment. Well, I pulled it out a little earlier this year. We did this relay to review for the test we took before Christmas break.
I let students choose their group...they tend to work better when they're with people they choose to work with. Surprisingly, we were able to complete the relay in most classes. And, only one class had to be stopped early because they just couldn't handle it with their behavior.

Each class has two winners. In order to keep everyone engaged the whole time, there is a winner for the fastest group and then the class gets to vote on the most creative snowman for the second prize. Only 4th period had a chance to finish and vote, but the rest were getting very creative with their snowmen.

My students loved it and are already asking when we're going to do it again. I'll have to change up the drawing, but it is such an engaging activity, I'll have to try it again!
Here are my 2nd period winners
I thought this guy was hilarious
My 4th period winners. They won the race and the vote for most creative.
