Christmas Pinterest Style

I went for two Pinterest crafts this Christmas. Both turned out great!

First, 2014 DIY ornament edition: Scrabble Tile Ornaments
I didn't know this until recently, but apparently you can buy packs of scrabble tiles on amazon. So, I ordered two sets just to be sure I had enough.
Then, I arranged them into the words I wanted. I cut out strips from a Bath and Body Works bag because they are especially Christmasy right now and used them for the backing to help have something to glue to. I used regular Elmer's glue to glue everything together.
To complete them, I glued red ribbon to the back of each one. I thought they turned out great! I even kept one for our tree.

My second project: Mason Jar Gifts.
My cousins are at that age where gift cards seem to be the most practical gift. However, just giving money or a gift card isn't all that fun. I found this cool idea on Pinterest where you "hide" the gift card inside a jar of their favorite candy.
I used toilet paper rolls to hold the gift cards and then placed the candy around the rolls. They don't look great from above, but from the outside they do! :)
