Danger...Not as Misunderstood

If you remember from this post last year, my students struggled with one of their math problems.

They didn't struggle as much this year...well, many of them just didn't try.

Remember the problem said, Assign values to each letter so that the message becomes a meaningful addition example. Write your answer as an addition example beside the one below.

CROSS
+ROADS
DANGER

Here are some of the answers I got this year:
CAT
+ DOG
PET

VAMPIRES
+PEOPLE
DEATH 

Answer: Tornadoes

These two actually make a little sense:

Answer: Cross roads are dangerous

Answer: Crossing roads are dangerous

I think a lot of them just didn't read the directions, but that's nothing new.
