However, we have compiled quite the Instagram collection that I will share with you to get you up to date on the Snyders.
Stephen and I celebrated 7 years of dating at the end of September
We had a fun date night!
We went to a Duke football game
Stephen has quickly become known for his throwback Thursday photos. People we don't even know come up and tell him how hilarious his #tbt pics are. I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed.
Our favorite date place is still Chick-Fil-A...especially now that we have gotten so close with the cow.
However, sometimes I question this relationship...
Stephen and I ran our first 5K as part of a wedding weekend last weekend. I was on team bride. Stephen was on team groom. The bride team won, of course!
It was unseasonably hot. Close to 90 degrees in October. The course was not easy for us new runners...lots of hills and very little shade on the trail. But, I am proud to say I ran the whole time! Even if it was a lot slower than my average pace had been, I was proud to finish without stopping!
We had a blast at the Toney/Head wedding
I can not explain how great it was to see and catch up with college friends. I didn't want the weekend to end for the simple fact I wasn't ready to quit hanging out yet. I love it when you have that group of friends that no matter how long you've been apart, you pick up right where you left off. The boys definitely had no problem being silly and goofy again and keeping us entertained all weekend. As exhausting as it was to leave right after school on Friday and not get home until after 11pm on Sunday and get up and teach at 7am on Monday, it was SO much fun and SO worth it!
My handsome date for the evening
Love all of these people so much!
School is going well. It is still super busy for some reason. I think the few added leadership roles I agreed to this year are just going to continue to add to that busyness. But, I'm beginning to get in a groove and not feel too overwhelmed.
In schools you learn to feel the chaos as it approaches. Chaos seems to have been brewing slowly beneath the surface for the past week or two and no one could quite put their finger on why or where it was coming from. We had several fights this week so maybe the chaos is working its way out. There is a full moon next week. Maybe once we're past that, they'll chill out some. We still have several unfilled positions, which doesn't help any. Pray those get filled soon as we found out this week a few more spots are going to be opening up soon. Too much "unofficialness" of subs and unfilled administrative positions is not good for middle schoolers especially in a school Carrinton's size.
Other than a little chaos at school, life is great!
Happy Friday!
