And then, after explaining the difference between a cordless phone and a wireless phone, a student asks, "Why can't you just carry the cordless phone outside and it be like a cell phone?" The saddest part was it was hard for to explain what a cordless phone is in a way that they could understand it. They just looked at me confused and repeated the same question. Plug a phone in the wall? Who does that?
And then there was this comment, "So you're the teacher my son thinks looks like Mariah Carey?"
I don't see it...
This weather has been amazing! 80 degrees in March? Yes, please. The only complaint I have is that it makes me and my students think that the end of the school year is here. I don't mind that it makes me feel like that; I mind that it's not as close to the end of the year as it feels. Dear Spring Break, Please hurry up and get here for my sake and my students' sakes. My friend Laura is getting married this weekend, on St. Patrick's Day. The bridesmaids dresses are green so I don't have to worry about getting pinched! :) I used the fact that the rehearsal is at 3 tomorrow as an excuse to take the whole day off. So, it is officially the weekend for me! I'm excited for this picture to be the other way around this weekend.
