Truett boycotted his crate
If someone tells you dogs aren't smart, they're liars. I always said I would NEVER have a dog sleep in the bed. If you know me, you know I really like my sleep. It was a regular Friday evening. I had had an especially long few weeks and finally had a Saturday to sleep in. I was looking forward to going to bed Friday night and sleeping the day away on Saturday. We put Truett in his crate and he started whining. Usually if he whined, which was rare, he would stop after a few minutes. Instead of stopping, he got louder. I thought maybe he just wasn't ready for bed. So I made Stephen get up and play with him more because I had been ready for bed and was getting really grumpy with the whining. They played for another hour and when Truett seemed to be settling down, they came back to bed. However, when he put Truett in the crate, he started crying again and just continued to get louder. I was mad at this point and REALLY wanted to sleep. So I said just get him out. Truett got in the bed, laid right down, and went to sleep. He chose his night to rebel wisely.
I always say, "Never say never" because I'm not going to lie...I kind of like it. He stretches out and takes up most of our king size bed, but I love when he curls up next to me and snuggles. Thankfully he doesn't move around too much and sleeps really well all through the night. It's a good thing he's cute and such a good cuddler or he might have earned himself a new room for him and his crate.
Truett and Jax LOVE each other and play SO well together. They're so cute because they are complete opposite in size and neither know it.

Took Truett swimming
He isn't so sure about the water yet and isn't the most grateful. But, he LOVED running around and digging in the sand around this swimming hole.
