#CRSC17

We just got back from another great week at Crossroads Summer Camp in Anderson, SC.

We left on Monday, which happened to be my birthday. Stephen took every opportunity that day to be sure everyone around knew!

The week was full of birthdays in our group. At one point they called anyone with a birthday up on stage. Lena and I enjoyed all of the attention. :)

We started the week out with orientation meetings. I don't know what I would have done without these awesome leaders by my side.

Every morning started with a morning show, which is always hilarious and entertaining. They had several "special guests" on the morning show this year, but my favorite was Mr. Bear. The game one day was Capturing Mr. Bear. They selected 5 campers that were the "Bear Hunters." They literally ran around the auditorium chasing this bear and tackling him. Some people were a little unsure of this game and weren't sure it was the best idea. I, on the other hand, was crying I was laughing so hard. Those kids showed Mr. Bear no mercy.

After workshops and lunch, we headed off to activities for the afternoon...
 Students enjoyed the Creative Lounge,

 The Jam Lounge,
 Playing Epic,
 Nine Square in the Air,
Can Jam,
 Corn Hole,
 Volleyball,
 Spike Ball,

Gaga Ball,
 Basketball,
 The Pool, and
Riding around on the golf cart with us!

Each night we ended with worship and church group time.

Our only complaint last year was the food. Anderson University has opened a new student center and cafeteria since last summer. The cafeteria was MUCH better. And, they have a Chick-Fil-A on campus now. You can NEVER go wrong with Chick-Fil-A!

One day some girls were slinging their keys and they flew on top of the lights in the cafeteria. We tried to help them, but couldn't quite reach them.

Sleep did happen...not much, but enough...While the girls had all night dance parties, the boys had slumber parties, cramming as many boys in one room as possible.

Overall it was a really great week!

We took almost double the number of students we took last year. Our prayer every year is for students to grow closer to the Lord and each other. We can confidently say that happened again this year and we give all the glory to the Lord. We're already looking forward to next year!
