Monday morning...pre-cut with the sweetest little puppy dog!
It wasn't quite as long as last time, but I knew it was long enough and it was starting to get on my nerves...aka stuck in my arm pits or all wrapped up in my purse and school bag when putting bags on my arm.As I was going to get it cut, I started to second guess, but decided to just go with it!
I asked her to cut it the same way she did last time and showed her a picture. She told me she might have to go a little shorter and I said that was fine.
She tied my hair off into three pony tails because it is so thick.
There was a group of women in the room getting ready for a photo shoot. When she made the first cut, there were literally gasps in the room from everyone else watching...I immediately thought, "No! Put it back!" haha
Needless to say, it's much shorter than I expected. She asked if I wanted her to thin it out, but when I reached back and it barely reached the nape of my neck, I frantically said not to cut anymore.
Everyone seems to like it, but who really is going to say it looks bad. (Okay, Allyson would tell me, but other than her, no one) I think I'll eventually like it...once it grows out a little and once I figure out how to best style it.
I think I'll be a little more hesitant next time...

LOL @ "Allyson would tell me." I think it looks great, but definitely something I could never do. Cutting my hair is the scariest thing in the world! You're right...it will grow back.
ReplyDeletehahaha so true, I would definitely tell you, but I really do like it! Figuring out how to style short hair is the biggest challenge for me too….and when it hits that should length that won't do anything but curl out. That's usually when I decide to never do it again (and then I inevitable do haha).
