This Week

This week...

was our first full week since Christmas break
it has been 70 degrees outside
a 7th grader pooped in the bathroom sink at school
we went on a field trip
I completed instruction for our 5th unit of the year
we got a coupon in the mail for Ringling Brothers Circus tickets (vday date?? I think so!!)
I completed round 1 of phase 2 of p90x
the sun started to come up just a few minutes earlier and set just a few minutes later
Stephen and I joined a small group at church
one of our smallest 7th graders ordered 4 combos at Burger King on our field trip...that's 4 sandwiches and 4 fries...I'm pretty sure he ate most of it
a student told me the reason he was so loud all of the time was because he's 11 years old
my students completed a better buy project where they found the unit rate for items at Costco and compared them to the unit rates of items at Food Lion...and they discovered you do get a better deal at Costco, but not on all items
i got this email from a student (which in case you're wondering when you read it, made me laugh and really want to respond very sarcastically, but I stayed mature and didn't):
     

Dear Mrs. Snyder,

(I am saying this whole message in a polite and respectful tone so please don't take it the wrong way) I am sorry. Since I am being disrespectful and rude (according to you) I will not talk to anyone in fourth period anymore. Also since I am always getting my parents called and apparently no one else I know is or has, I would like to say (politely) that truly you don't know half of the things that are going on in fourth period. (Again, I am saying this whole message in a polite and respectful tone) Also, if I have ASD can you tell me the date and the time.
