We had so much fun, we decided we needed to do it again. After they saw the Durham skyline and my giraffe I painted at Wine and Design, they mentioned wanting to do that.
A few months ago Groupon was running a special on Paint Nite, which is very similar to Wine and Design and I've done once before. We all jumped on the opportunity, decided on a painting we all liked, on a date that worked for all of us, and spent the evening in Asheville. I assumed there would be some locations in Hickory when I initially mentioned this idea, but there weren't. Thankfully, no one minded the drive and time spent in Asheville.
I remembered to take more progress shots this time. This painting was called "Flight of the Fireflies." It took until the very end, but I feel like it came together nicely. I'll add it to my classroom!
