Wine and Design

Well, my goal this year was to do at least one painting class.

Now, I've done two!

This time I did Wine and Design. The process was a little different, but the result was the same.
At Paint Nite, you started with a blank canvas. The instructor told you which brush and color to use and what design to make.

At Wine and Design, the image was penciled onto the canvas. We started out doing the bulk of the background the same color, but then were set free to choose our own colors and design for the rest of the image.

Paint Nite taught different techniques.
Wine and Design encouraged individuality and creativity.

It was cool to see the different designs people did.
Initially I didn't love mine, but it is growing on me.

I think I prefer Paint Nite's method because I'm a rule follower and want to do things right. I'm not so free and creative.

Both were fun! Let me know when you want to go; I'll be glad to tag along!
