Haddon James: Two Years Old

Haddon, you are two!

You are 30 pounds and 10 ounces (78th %tile).

You are 35 inches tall (71st %tile).

You are comfortably in 2T clothes. I can still get 18 month stuff on you, but with the weather turning cooler, 18 month pants are a little short on you.

You are in size 5 diapers and a size 6 night time diaper.

You are wearing a size 6 shoe.

You're still a great sleeper! You sleep all night, usually 7:30-8ish until 7am. Bedtime got later over the summer, but we'll be tightening that back up once the time change happens. You don't want to miss out on anything so you'd much rather stay awake and play, especially if we're outside. You got your own pillow for your birthday and you love it. You still take one nap in the middle of the day.

You eat pretty well. You aren't a huge fan of veggies, but you love meat and fruit. We didn't have a high chair at the beach house this summer so I think we're officially past you sitting in a high chair. I think you still use it at Mema's house, but at home, you sit on the bench with your sisters. We've only had one fall so far!

You have also decided you need to walk everywhere now instead of ride in the stroller. And sometimes that results in you needing to sit down or lay down.

We had fun visiting the museum this summer.

You left the water area when you saw some tractors working behind the fence.
You impressed me (and scared me a little) with how fearless you were climbing up the tree house. You wanted to go as high as you could with no help from me.

We had such a fun summer! You loved the beach and pool!

If you're outside, you're happy!

I think we're easing out of our busted knees and face stage, but you got a few good shiners this summer from falling.

We got to officially meet Addie this summer and you loved it!

You love to be silly!

You've got an impressive imagination for a 2 year old. One of my favorite things right now is you asking for money or pretending to give money.
"Ear you money" (Here's your money)
"Gimme money?" (Poppy never tells you no)
"Where my money?"

You and Kinsley are still sweet and sour with each other. Chloe is a little momma to you and you let her. You are learning how to push her buttons though by stealing her talking sticks.

One of your favorite things to do is play in the car. You climb all over the seats, pretend to drive, and push all of the buttons. Then you pitch the biggest fit when we make you get out!

You love staying at Mema and Poppy's still! Poppy is still the best snack giver...especially when we run into him at Food Lion and you spot donuts in his bag. Visiting him at Costco is one of your and Mema's favorite outings during the week. You always ask Poppy, "I get out?" Of course he doesn't tell you no.

You're still a big fan of watching tractors and not a big fan of when we take it away.
The crossed arms pouting cracks us up every time.

All of the notes I kept in my phone for the past 3 months were things I want to remember you saying. You are talking so much and it is just the cutest!

Mine!

Ta da!

Watch! Watch! I jump! (and then you would usually jump off of something) You see me?

2, 2, 2 (instead of 1, 2, 3)

"Mama!" I'd say what. You'd say, "Upstairs?" I'd say yes. You'd say, "Otay! I tomin!" (coming)

No thank you.

My turn!

It pie-pee (spicy)

I read book

By July you were talking in full sentences. It still impresses me that you only need to hear something once or twice and you start using it correctly in everyday conversation.

We got to celebrate your 2nd and Pa's 89th birthday together at your family birthday party.

You got a blower and LOVE it!

Being your momma is just the best. If I could bottle you up at this stage forever, I think I would.
