Haddon James: One Month

You are 10 pounds 4 ounces (60th %tile)

You are 22.7" (93rd %tile)

You are in size one diapers. I switched you to size 1 a little early just because I didn't want to buy more newborn diapers.

You got too long for newborn size clothes quickly and moved to 0-3 month clothes this first month.

The transition to three kids was much smoother than I expected.

I was sore at first, but overall felt good. My blood pressure was high so we had to monitor that closely for several days.

In the first week, you were eating every 2 hours on average. Around week 2 you started giving me longer stretches at night, but that would sometimes result in 2 hours of cluster feeding in the middle of the night.

You got your tongue tie clipped during your second week as well.

Around 3 weeks I could tell you were more alert. We started working on napping in your bed then and you did great putting yourself to sleep!

You are learning to like baths.

The weather has been beautiful and we've loved getting outside and enjoying the fall leaves! You got to go on your first field trip, 2 hay rides, and The State Fair. We also got a night away with you for a wedding. You were the cutest little third wheel!

Mema was a huge help that first week home!

We had plumbing issues at home that led to us spending the night at Nana's because we had no water. Well, the next day Hurricane Ian came through and took out our power. So we stayed at Nana's two more nights. It was much smoother than I expected...it just required SO much stuff.

You like looking at lights and yourself in the mirror. I set up a temporary changing station on daddy's dresser so I didn't have to go all the way downstairs in the middle of the night to change you. You found yourself in his mirror quickly!

Your sisters are crazy about you!

We're all enjoying your sweet snuggles.

You had lots of visitors who were excited to meet you!

We had your newborn pictures taken with Mary.

We are so glad you're here, sweet boy!
