Oh, Kinsley Faith you have grown so much these past 3 months. I can't believe you are almost 2!
You are around 23 pounds.
You are wearing 24 months and 2T clothes.
You are wearing size 5 diapers.
You sleep great! You're a consistent 12 hour sleeper at night and take a good 2 hour nap in the middle of the day. Your favorite pajamas are your "Ho Ho" pajamas. You recognize Ho Ho everywhere now. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is your favorite song and you try and sing it with us when we sing to you, especially the "up above the world so high" line.
Your language has taken off! At the beginning of these 3 months, I started keeping a list of all of the words you can say. In the past week I've been adding to it daily and there are probably still several that I have left off. You can say:
Cheese! baby, hi baby, bye bye, mommy, daddy, bubbles, thank you, please, ball, duck, uh oh, Jax, hot, tick tock, stop, bath, baa, papa, Dee, ok, yea!, get up, help please, deer, bear, bock bock, get up, get out, oustide, OH. Nooo, You ok? I see!
For words you don't have or that we can't understand, you still know how to communicate what you want. If you want someone to follow you, you motion for them to come with you. Or you grab their finger and pull them where you want to go...usually to the pantry for a snack.
Your favorite word is TOP! (stop)
You are Miss Independent. If you are doing something you know you shouldn't, you'll tell us to stop when you see us coming. If we come in the room while you're pooping, you tell us to stop. If we're doing something you don't like, you tell us to stop.
You are a great eater. You LOVE salad and will match me bite for bite if I am eating sharing a salad with you. You still eat quick and when you are done, you are ready to give your plate to someone and get down! Then you want to climb up on the bench and sit beside us at the table. I've got to start researching seats that will attach to a bench so you can sit with us at the table.
You got a stomach bug right when you turned 18 months old. You shared it with Chloe and me...right when daddy had to leave for camp for several days. It was no fun! Mema came to the rescue and was a huge help!
You love to read, be outside, be silly, and do anything Chloe does.
In these past 3 month, summer came and went and you loved it! Anything with water was (and still is) your favorite!
We got a trip in to Morganton and it was so fun!
You got to go to your first Durham Bulls game. You loved it! When the crowd would clap, you would clap. You chased Wool E Bull down, but as soon as he turned to give you a high five, you did a 180 and ran back to me.
You still love animals! You think it's fun to chase Truett around the back yard. And you and Jax are still best buds!
We got a couple of play dates in before school started. You jump right in with the big kids!
You know how to make us laugh and you love to do anything that gets people laughing. You've started doing this fake laugh thing that is hilarious!
The side eye is one of my favorites. You love to cut those eyes at people!
Splashing in the bath tub is your favorite. You've learned to soak the entire bathroom with how you hit the water.
You want to be just like Chloe and yall are just the sweetest sisters!
When Chloe started gymnastics, you had to carry a back pack too.
Y'all are starting to play together more and more and it's so fun to watch!
Time with family is always a favorite!
You know how to play dress up now and often want to dress up when Chloe has a costume on.
You love babies! Both real ones and pretend ones. I often find you in Chloe's room playing with the babies by yourself. You like for me to put diapers and clothes on them for you. If we're going for a walk, you usually want to push a baby in a stroller. You apparently are too big for the stroller now and will often walk/run the entire loop around the block.
You have begun to show interest in the potty. If you don't have pants on, you will take your diaper off and say pee pee! We got the training potty out and you like to sit on it. You've squeezed a few drops of pee out, but no "real" successful potty attempts yet.
You did pee on the floor and tell me you were doing it.
You have discovered videos. Cocomelon is your favorite and you often ask demand to watch "BABY!" If we turn it on the TV, you want to lay on a pillow on the couch with a blanket.
You started staying with Jeannene when I went back to work and have done so well! You love playing with Ollie and it's just the sweetest thing!
