18 months!
You are 24 pounds (72nd %tile)
You are 33 inches (95th %tile)
You are in 18 month clothes, but are getting tall for them. I need to pull the 24 month stuff out.
You are in size 4 diapers.
You are in size 4 shoes.
You have a mouth full of teeth. You popped the last 4 in the past 3 months. This was the first time your teeth really seemed to bother you coming in and led to several fussy days.
You're still a great sleeper. You are easily asleep around 7 each night and will lay in your bed content until 8am the next morning. I don't think you sleep until then, but I don't know exactly when you wake up because you just lay there quietly, rolling around. I'm not complaining. Our bedrooms upstairs get so warm in the summer. If you're in thin pajamas, I put a sleep sack on you because I leave your ceiling fan running all night. But, you don't sleep in one every night. After bath, I get you in your PJs, we rock and I sing a few songs, then you're ready to get in your bed.
You are good about taking a 2 hour nap after lunch each day. If we've been out and about and you fall asleep in your car seat, you transfer to your crib easily if you've been asleep less than 30 minutes. Once we hit that 30 minute mark of sleeping in the car, you wake up too easily when we get home and won't go back to sleep.
You wake up with crazy hair some days!
You love bath time and think it's hilarious to splash water everywhere!
You know where your hair, head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, tongue, teeth, hands, feet, and belly are.
You can tell us what a cow, duck, monkey, chicken, owl, and fish says.
You try really hard to say ribbit ribbit and it's so cute!
You still love animals!
You started saying "Hey, buddy!" to Jax and Truett anytime you saw them.
If we're on a walk, you squeal and want to get to any animal we see. You don't discriminate...from birds to squirrels to angry barking dogs in people's yards. You want to go see and love them all!
You've discovered the frogs in the back yard and have no fear. You follow them all around and try to pick them up. Sadly for them, if you get them, you squeeze them really hard! You also love to try and pick up ants and rolly pollies...really any bug you see you'll proudly pick up.
You got to meet Dude and loved that!
You LOVE Chloe and have started imitating her every move. If she spins in a circle, you spin. If she makes a funny noise, you try and make the same noise.
You are so much stronger and run pretty much everywhere you go. This keeps your knees scraped up. You've discovered band-aids and want one anytime you fall now. You were very concerned about the boo boos daddy and I had after our surgery. You constantly asked to see them, would get the sweetest concerned look on your face and lean in to kiss them.
You love to snack and would snack all day if we let you. You like to take your snack and sit on the bottom step to eat it. You especially love sweet stuff. You're still a good eater at meals and there isn't much you don't like.
Snacks + Outside = Your Ideal Situation
You have discovered sauces and LOVE them! They help keep you entertained, giving me and daddy time to finish a meal before you're screaming that you're done.
Your love for books and reading increases everyday. You especially love Brown Bear Brown Bear and the "Highlights Hello" magazines.
You are feisty and independent! You let your opinion be known and you are not afraid to show when you are angry. You think you need to walk yourself when we go on walks now. You pretty much run around the block. It's impressive and a bit terrifying because cars do not scare you. You think it is hilarious if we're in the front yard to take off running down the drive way and you will keep running until someone catches you. These running pictures are the best depiction of your personality right now.
You do like to stop and pick flowers.
Outside is your favorite place to be, especially if there is water to play with.
You are a stair master on the play set!
You like to try and walk around the edge of the play set like a balance beam.
You have the cutest little dance moves and when we tell you to hop like a bunny, it's so cute. You attempt to jump, but your feet don't actually leave the floor.
You've started taking my phone, holding it up and saying "cheese!" I've had countless selfie videos from you doing this.
You also will grab a bag when we're playing inside, wave, and say bye! Then you walk around the house and come back in the other side of the room like you actually went somewhere. And you love to pretend cook and bring me and daddy food to eat.
You love to play with the big kids and have had a blast the past 3 months with multiple play dates.
We've gotten to see a lot of family. They all think you're precious. We don't disagree. :)
You loved sitting with me while I taught. You would wave and yell hey! My students loved it!
We went strawberry picking as a family and once you realized what was going on, you couldn't eat them fast enough.
You love to be silly. Once you start getting people to laugh, you get sillier. You get that from your daddy!
You really enjoyed the beach. You ran straight for the water every time. We chased you all over the place. Snacking, running around the beach, and splashing in the water were your favorite things!
We got to go to the aquarium one day and you just ran from tank to tank squealing and waving at the fish.
You are feisty, loud, and fearless. You love snacks, being silly, and snuggling every once in a while. We love watching you grow and seeing your personality grow more and more everyday.
