Chick-Fil-A Date Night
You know we never turn down Chick-Fil-A!
Go see the Living Christmas Tree
Make Cookies
Our neighbor David (on the right) bought this cookie mix and specifically asked to make it with me. So sweet! We had a blast and another little helper.
Morganton Christmas Parade
Take Truett for a walk downtown
We didn't make it downtown with Truett, but he did get some fun walks in with Stephen while we were in Durham and met some new friends.
Daniel Boone Inn Double Date Night
It's crazy how fast December fills up. We started looking at dates for this in November. We picked a date and when we called to double check about them being open, we of course picked the night they were closed. Thankfully we didn't drive all the way there again. We had one other night that would work after that one and thankfully it worked for everyone's schedule!
Drive around and look at Christmas Lights
We took Mom and Allyson through the J. Iverson Riddle Christmas Light Display
Church Staff Christmas Party
We ended up counting our staff retreat in Gatlinburg as our Christmas party because again...CrAzY December schedules made it hard to find a date that would work for everyone.
Starbucks Date
We grabbed Starbucks before the parade. We were in such a rush to get to the parade, we forgot to take a picture!
Mail Christmas Cards
Make our Favorite Christmas Snack
Nothing like the last minute. We made these Christmas Eve for dessert after our Chinese dinner!
Camp out in front of the Christmas Tree
I thought Truett might be a little hesitant of the air mattress...nope! He made himself right at home.
Youth Leaders Christmas Party
We went to Sims BBQ for dinner and line dancing!
Small Group Christmas Party
EKA Christmas
Make and Take Gifts to the Neighbors
Make Ornaments
I was running out of time so only the neighbors got home made ornaments this year, but I thought they turned out cute.
Have Friends over for Dinner
Christmas at DPAC
Watch a Christmas Movie
Stephen had A Christmas Story on repeat Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We also fell asleep at our camp out to The Santa Clause.
Christmas Eve
After the candle light service, we got our annual Chinese Take Out.
Merry Christmas
We had a slow morning at home and then went to Grandma and Pa's for the evening for more Christmas fun. Aren't they just the cutest?!
22/25 isn't so bad.
The three we missed:
Horse Drawn Carriage Ride
Thanks to having no free weekends since Thanksgiving.
Make a Gingerbread House
Try a New Recipe
Other fun things we did in December
Dinner with Grandma and Pa
Truett turned 1!
Baby Shower in Durham
Small Group Dinner when the original parade was canceled
Christmas at the Cove with Mom and Allyson
Snow! 7"
Set up Chloe's nursery
Christmas Celebrations with Family
Unwrapping presents is hard work for this pup!
Relaxing New Year's Eve on the couch with the Coulters watching football and the ball drop then immediately heading to bed. We really lived it up on our last New Year's without kids. Ha! Truett, however, couldn't hang.
