Month by Month: September

This week I couldn't believe it was the end of September. It really felt like there should be another week left in the month. But, when I started looking back through pictures, some of these seem like such a long time ago. Time can be weird.

Here are our September highlights.

Stephen went to watch App play at Tennessee. I was supposed to go to the game with him, but didn't realize until a week before the game that would mean taking a day off the first week of school. I didn't feel right doing that so Travis went with him. They had a lot of fun. I wasn't so sad having to miss it...100,000+ people.
We spent Labor Day going for a hike up to Hawksbill.

Grandma and Pa came to visit!

Parking Lot
Judging Crossfit
Stephen also went to a KB concert. He's a christian rapper. A mid-week rap concert is definitely not for me! However, he did take some students from church and they had a blast!

We went to Elevation for one of their Code Orange Revival services.
Stephen is in charge of remodeling the youth room. Demolition started this month. It is wearing him out, but they are making great progress enlarging the space for our students.

We kicked off the school year in student ministry.
Above is our high school small group out to dinner after serving together one night.
Below is our first Sunday Night Live service.
We're so excited about the momentum we have going into this school year!
The second week of SNL we had free ice cream!
We also kicked off our adult small groups. Stephen and I are leading one this year and are excited to get to know more people. We didn't get any group shots, but I did get to meet and hang out with this cutie!

See You at the Pole, a national day of prayer for our schools, was this month. Stephen got to bounce around to three different schools and I got to participate at Liberty.
