It's Been a While...

The summer has been flying by and my blog has been neglected. Sorry about that! Time to play a little catch up...

We are officially half way through summer. Time has been flying by and so have we!

We celebrated the marriage of an old friend.

Weddings of old friends are always so much fun! It was a childhood church reunion and was so nice to catch up with everyone.

  I had a girls weekend at the beach with my two best friends from high school.

I celebrated my Mom's birthday with a family dinner cooked by Dad!

Stephen and I participated in Chick-Fil-A's cow appreciation day. Oh the things people will do for free food!

Summer camp is going great! We have awesome counselors and campers and are all having a blast together. We've only had one crazy parent who chewed me out because I mischarged her account $5. Yep, five dollars that I had already corrected by the time she came back in. People are crazy. But, one crazy parent in five weeks is pretty good!

Stephen just got back from a week at youth camp with The Summit. He had a blast and it's been so cool hearing all of the awesome stories of how the Lord worked. I am so glad to have him home, though. The long distance thing is not so fun. We did enough of that dating. Weeks away from each other suck.

I had my first true experience of living with a boy when he got back from camp. He was smart enough to take a garbage bag for all of his wet clothes and he did warn me before I opened the bag, but I still wasn't prepared. I think he soaked all of his clothes the first day he was there and then shoved them in this garbage bag. They smelled t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e!! I gagged when I opened the bag. When I asked him why he didn't hang them up to dry before putting them in the bag, his response was, "I threw away some of the socks that were gross." ...Thanks?? Maybe God is preparing for me for a life with boys...who knows!

Five more weeks before school starts back! We've got a couple more weekend trips planned, an anniversary to celebrate, and lots of laundry to do! :)
