Summer Update

The summer is quickly coming to an end. I start school meetings next week and work days start the 19th. Camp ends the 16th. How does 10 weeks go by so quickly??

Here's a brief look at the fun I've been having this summer. Sorry for the lack of posts!

I tried Dame's Chicken & Waffles for the first time. I'm officially a fan of chicken and waffles! It was great...not to the mention the awesome company I had...
We celebrated our second wedding anniversary. Stephen did a great job making another regular Tuesday special!
Went to a Bulls game with Kel when Mom sang the National Anthem with a group from church.

I took a week off of camp. It was much needed and filled with this fun to do list!
We have officially tried one new recipe this summer. Yea, I've been slacking on the new recipe goal. We made these creme cheese filled brownies at 10:00 the other night because we were bored. Taste Test post coming soon...
The pool always provides a good time!
Our entertainment at camp this week (other than the 70 kids and 12 counselors we have everyday) has been watching the field across the street get cleared. I am by no means a tree hugger or "green" person. I do my part, but am not fanatic about it. However, I was sad to watch this big beautiful tree get torn down this morning. It had an orange band around it so I thought it was safe until it came tumbling down this morning. I wish I had a before picture. It really was a nice tree!

I was off the week the royal baby was born. I spent those days stalking the royal family. Why are we so obsessed with other people's lives?? I don't know, but I've enjoyed watching them be new parents...I bought People magazine today because it has a 19 page spread on them. (I'm a sucker for celebrity gossip...don't tell anyone)

The rest of the summer will be filled with finishing camp, reading books and this new magazine, preparing for school (aka hitting up all of the local penny deals), and getting in as much sleep as possible!

Happy August!

PS Is it really already August??
