Advent 2022

Church Staff Christmas Party

Living Christmas Tree (aka Celebration of Lights)
This was a lot of fun, but we didn't get any pictures. We were too busy chasing Kinsley around and pushing Chloe around in her wheel chair.

Go See Santa
We saw Santa a couple of times, but only got one picture. Kinsley refused to sit beside Santa and I wasn't with them this time for Haddon to get a picture.

Mail Christmas Cards

Make Our Favorite Christmas Snack
We didn't make it, but we enjoyed the ones Dawn made!

Make Ornaments
Someone gave Chloe an ornament kit full of wooden ornaments you could color. We colored several of them over the weeks. Kinsley's home made ornaments at school were adorable too. And we of course had to get Haddon's hand and foot imprint for his first ornaments.

Youth Leaders Christmas Party
I used this tag and let it count for our North Durham Staff Christmas party, which I didn't get any pictures of, but I did have this picture from our North Durham Staff Wives Christmas Party!

Mexican Date Night
These "date night" tags were made for our advent calendar before we had kids. Now they're family nights! We did make it to El Rodeo one night and Mema and Poppy even joined us!

EKA Christmas

Small Group Christmas Party
We planned to go to this and then Kinsley swallowed a water bead and ended up in the ER so we missed it...

Watch a Christmas Movie
Mid-November Stephen started introducing Chloe to Christmas movies. It was the only thing they could agree on to watch together. Since we were stuck all in the same room, for the most part, for so long, we watched a lot of Christmas movies this year.

Chick-Fil-A Date Night
This probably happened weekly.

Starbucks Date
This "date" included 3 little ones behind us with the 2 older ones enjoying a cake pop!

Read Christmas Books
I mentioned last year how wrapping isn't my favorite thing to start with. I read something this year that essentially said only do things that bring you joy this holiday season. So I decided to not wrap their books. I put them in baskets under the tree upstairs and we read them as they pulled them out. We didn't read all of them, but the girls enjoyed the ones we did read.

Date Night
Getting away just the 2 of us has not happened much lately. Our 2 church staff Christmas parties were our date nights this year.

Wrap Presents
I got smart and wrapped as gifts came in this year. It made it a lot nicer to not have to sit down and wrap a bunch of gifts at once.

Drive Around and Look at Christmas Lights
The girls love seeing lights. We did make a special trip out one evening to see the house on Guess Road that is programmed to songs you can hear on the radio.

Christmas Eve
