Kinsley Faith: 12 Months

You are in 12 month clothes.

You are in size 4 diapers

You are still nursing in the morning and before bed. When you wake up and I ask if you want some milk, you nod your head yes. You've started waving at me, blowing kisses, and playing peek a boo when you're nursing in the evening. It's so cute!

You love to eat and anything someone else is eating, you think you need, especially if Chloe has it.

I tried to phase out your morning nap after a few days of sleeping less than an hour for your first nap and several pre-6:30am wake up calls. You did well for a few days, but have also done well going back to 2 naps...as in 2+ hour naps in the morning. So who knows what's going on there. You still sleep all night so I'm thankful for that!

You are waving now and blowing kisses.

You will shake your head when we ask you questions. Our favorite is to ask if you're cute and watch you nod yes. When we tell you no, you like to look at us, smile, and then shake your head no.

You are on the move all the time. If you aren't trapped in, you crawl away as quickly as possible. If we chase you, you giggle and crawl away faster. For a while, it was Truett's water you went for. Now, you head for the stairs. When you get to the top, you either go to the bathroom to try and play in the toilet or climb in the bath tub or you crawl to Chloe's room to play.

You are a climber and love to play and bounce on the couch when Chloe takes all of the cushions off. You enjoy playing at the kitchen too. I think it's so cute to watch you stand on your tippy toes to reach the sink.

You've discovered putting toys in containers. Your favorite is to crawl around and pick up Chloe's toy food and put it in whatever container you can get your hands on.

You can walk across the room now holding onto something. You're very proud of yourself when you do it. You get very angry when you get to the wall and can't turn around. You scream and bite the walker. We're really looking forward to seeing how you handle anger. (<--- sarcasm!) :)

You still love to be outside. Swinging is still a favorite and you recently discovered the slide and love that too!

You give Daddy the best smiles and giggles. You want Mama all the time, but you love to spot Daddy across the room and smile at him. 

You celebrated your first Christmas this month.

You got a bad cold the week after Christmas. You were super snotty. It was pitiful. Daddy, Allyson, and I felt a little yucky, so we got tested for COVID just to be safe. We were negative so it was just a cold.

We had a small birthday party for you at home with family. You loved the cake and balloons!
