Chloe Grace: 5 Months

At a 4.5 month doctors appointment, you were 15 pounds and 5 ounces
You are in size 2 diapers during the day and size 3 at night. We're trying to use up the last size 2s we have before switching you all the way.
You grew out of your 3 month clothes this month.
You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and your 6 month clothes are already fitting you really well.

You spent a day on the lake

Daddy got to celebrate his first Father's Day with you

We went to Durham while Daddy was at summer camp

Sleeping in your pack and play.

You love to watch Truett

You got your first virus...a rash
It didn't bother you at all and we were so thankful it didn't turn into Hand, Foot, and Mouth

You started rolling from your back to your belly on June 26th and haven't stopped.

You love sleeping on your belly now and immediately roll over onto it to go to sleep.

While it would still be okay for you to be in the Zipadee Zip even now that you're rolling, I felt better knowing you have full access to your arms and hands so we stopped using it once I realized you were officially a roller with no intentions of stopping. You've done great just sleeping in your PJs and I even think you may have started sucking your thumb.

Speaking of sleep, you've given us a few more all nighters, but giving up that middle of the night feed is proving harder than I expected. It's getting later and later (or should I say earlier and earlier in the morning) so maybe you're getting close to dropping it. I'm really hoping you drop it before school starts back.

It is so rare for you to fall asleep on my chest these days. This was the morning you rolled from your back to your belly in your sleep and woke up mad about it. I didn't realize you weren't really waking up for the day and went ahead and got you up. As a result, you went back to sleep on my chest. I wasn't complaining!

You love being on your belly, but don't love having to stay on your belly. However, you don't like to roll from your belly to your back. To solve the endless cycle of us rolling you back over when you get mad, we got you a jumper seat. You love it and we love watching you explore and learn how to work all of the gadgets. You've figured it out really quickly.

We went back to Durham with Daddy the week of July 4th.
You got to meet Adam for the first time.

And, we got to spend an afternoon at Allyson's pool.

We hung out with your boyfriend, Joey.
Mama Barb came to visit you one afternoon.

You are "talking" so much and we think it's the cutest thing ever!

You participated in your first Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A and wore your first (home made) costume.

You just found your feet. You haven't quite gotten the coordination down yet. When you pull your toes to your mouth, you get really excited and start kicking; therefore, pulling your toes out of your hand and away from you.

You're SO cute!
