We spent last week at the beach and had a blast! I have to give Stephen and Corey full credit for this vacation. I was skeptical that we would find a week we could all go and that we could find a place that we could afford. Since I was skeptical, I didn't really pursue it. Stephen was determined so he got the dates nailed down and Corey found the house.
It was a lot of traveling for Baby Girl, but overall she did great. We left Morganton around lunch time on Friday and stopped in Winston to meet Baby Coulter, Dawson. Then, we spent the night in Durham and drove to the beach on Saturday. Coming back, we stopped in Durham for a few hours, but then had to finish the drive home so Stephen could be at church Sunday. Saturday was a long day and she got very fussy in the car at the end of each trip; I think she was tired of her car seat.
Chloe is into touching and feeling everything right now so she enjoyed the sand. She fell asleep pretty quickly the first day on the beach, but napped inside the rest of the week. She enjoyed rolling around in the tent and taking everything in. She had a couple of late nights on the nights we went out for dinner and she was great!
We had several rainy days, but mom and I got some decent sun time in, which is always a win for us!
We're already looking forward to next year!

We took the kayaks out on the sound one afternoon and were entertained by Allyson the whole time!
