Checking Out

I am SO ready for summer!!

Last week was my last "normal" week of school and I have quickly fallen into the "coasting" stage of the year...just make it to the end!

I've stopped assigning homework.

We're into review now, which means minimal planning on my part.

I found an awesome website students can work on to review for the EOG. So, we've spent several days in the computer lab. I may or may not have taken a book with me to school to occupy myself while students worked.

I left my desk a complete mess the other day simply because I was ready to go home.

Everyday this week I've come home and taken at least an hour long nap, gotten up, ran, cooked dinner, and gone right to bed.

I can't remember the last time I brought school work home.

My students are probably as checked out as I am.

Hopefully they'll check back in for 4 hours on May 30th when they take their math EOG.

Our pool opens this weekend and I am counting down the days where I can turn off my 5am alarm clock and coast through the summer!
