We found out mid-June that we were pregnant. A few days later we went home for Faith's graduation. It was so weird being around all of our family and friends knowing, but them not.
When we came home a few weeks later to drop Truett off before heading to the beach for a week, we told our parents. Happy birthday, mom!
I was nervous about our week at the beach because it was right at the 7-8 week mark when morning sickness usually kicks in. Thankfully, I felt great and thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in, hanging out on the beach, and spending time with some of our favorite people!
We slowly, but surely told other people as the days passed. Stephen is terrible at keeping a secret. So while I was more hesitant to let the whole world know, I had to give him space to tell. :) He had a blast randomly slipping it in conversation and watching people's reaction.
At the beginning of August we had our first ultra sound and had our pregnancy announcement pictures taken.
By the end of the month, everyone officially knew. We made sure close family and friends knew before we posted on social media.
Overall, I really can't complain. I've felt great and sleep well other than having to get up and pee multiple times a night. I wasn't so sure how the first week of school was going to go, but other than my feet hurting really bad, it was a good week! And who knows how much of that was pregnancy related vs. just getting used to being on my feet all day again. :)
Stephen is convinced Truett knows I'm pregnant because he's been extra snuggly with me. I think it's just because I'm his favorite and Stephen is in denial, but who knows! :) I'm not complaining about all of the snuggles!
