Crossroads hosts a winter conference every year over MLK weekend in Gatlinburg. I don't know if I've ever been specifically to this event, but Stephen has. Having the freedom to make decisions about conferences and stuff, I told Stephen this summer we should definitely look into going to this conference.
He was a genius about it and decided we would use it as a leadership conference. He has 4 student interns this year and we took those 4 students to this conference this weekend and it was great!
Not only was it quality worship and speaking, the group of students we took with us were so chill. Sunday afternoon we asked what they wanted to do during free time and they said, we're fine with just hanging out at the condo. My kind of group!
We definitely did some fun things like walking up and down the Gatlinburg strip and traveling over to Pigeon Forge to do a little shopping at the outlets.
We hopped in the car right after school Friday and headed on up the mountain. Stephen and I went to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon and I didn't think that drive would ever end. Being 2.5 hours closer made the drive much more bearable. Not to mention a good nap in the car is always nice!
We went straight to the condo to drop our stuff off before grabbing dinner and heading to the opening session.
Gatlinburg still has the streets decorated with Christmas lights. It was so pretty driving through town at night.
Stephen has done a great job pouring into these student leaders this year and it was a blast getting to spend the weekend with them learning and growing more in our walks with Christ. I go into these events expecting to learn as much as the students despite the fact it's designed for students and I'm never disappointed.
I love serving in ministry beside this man!
We're already so excited about #CRSC17, summer camp!
