Taste Test: Broccoli Cheese Soup

It only seems appropriate to have something yummy cooking in the crock pot on a snow day. We love Broccoli and Cheese soup from Panera so thought we'd give this a shot.

The taste was really good!
The texture was a little weird for me...not as creamy as I would have liked. This might be because I used onion powder instead of onions since my husband hates chunks of onion in anything. The onion powder soaked up the butter more than the onion would have causing a bit of a grainy texture. As long as I was dipping something with the soup, it was fine. But, I didn't like it just with a spoon simply because of the texture.

We'll probably try it again on a cold day...maybe next winter when we get a snow day.
