Last weekend I made the trek back to Durham.
I went from this...

...to this. I couldn't bear to take a picture of the room completely empty. It was too sad.

Then, came the fun part...unloading all of my stuff from four years into my room at home. This was the result...
Which, resulted in this...sleeping in the living room. The couch bed was enough motivation to tackle the above situation the next day so that I only spent one night on the couch.
The finished product...after several furniture rearrangements.
This cup of pens made it all the way from my desk in Boone, in the trailor, through the unloading process, through the mess in my room, to its new home without spilling. I couldn't believe it.
Some thoughts that crossed my mind through this whole moving process:
I have TOO much stuff.
How come the cleanest my bathroom ever gets is the day I am leaving it for someone else to move into?
If this whole teaching thing doesn't work out, I would make an awesome cleaning lady.
How do bathrooms get so dusty??
Can I just leave my room like this (a total mess) and go back to Boone?
Moving furniture in a room full of boxes is not the easiest thing to do.
I love lamp lighting.
I have TOO much stuff.
What's left of my summer:
Directing day camp for a day
Tax free weekend
Beach with Stevo and his family (SO EXCITED)
Hanging out with friends and loving the fact that I'm home again and will hopefully get to see them all a lot more often
Planning, planning, planning
New teacher orientation
Moving into my classroom
School begins Aug 25th. BRING IT ON!
